A Calmer Way Through – Acupuncture & Herbs for Stress and Low Mood

Most people who come to see me aren’t necessarily looking for a miracle. They just want to feel a bit more like themselves again. Less tense. Less overwhelmed. More able to cope.

Stress and low mood can show up in all sorts of ways—poor sleep, digestive problems, irritability, tearfulness, brain fog, a sense of flatness or disconnection. Some people feel wound up all the time, while others feel numb or shut down. Sometimes both.

A Different Kind of Support

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can offer something different—something quietly powerful.

This approach doesn’t separate mind from body. It sees emotional health as part of your whole system, affected by the same patterns of imbalance that impact digestion, energy, sleep, or hormones.

Whether you’re in the middle of a tough time or just aware that stress is getting under your skin, treatments can help:

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Lift mood and reduce anxiety

  • Support better sleep

  • Ease tension and restlessness

  • Build long-term resilience

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I’ve been in practice for almost 20 years and work with people locally here in Christchurch, Dorset, as well as online (herbs only). I don’t follow a rigid protocol—every treatment is shaped around you.

Some people come weekly, some monthly. Some just need a few sessions to get through a rough patch. You’re welcome whether or not you’ve tried acupuncture or herbs before.

We’ll take our time in the first session to understand what’s going on for you—physically, emotionally, and energetically. If herbs are appropriate and you would like to have them, I’ll create a bespoke formula just for you, based on what your system needs. Nothing off-the-shelf, and nothing unnecessary.

A Gentle Next Step

If you’d like to know more or want to see if this might be right for you, I offer a free 15-minute call. There’s no pressure—it’s just a chance to talk things through.

You can book that through my contact page or email me directly: kate@katefreemantle.co.uk
